Mt Rainier Scenic Railroad Winter Steam Spectacular

With bonus Estep diesel powerplant operation.

In the winter of 2006, the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad in Elbe, Washington, hosted a “Winter Steam Spectacular” event that featured the Climax, Heisler and 2-8-2T Alco locomotives in operation. This DVD captures the sights and sounds of that event, which included numerous photo run-bys and other views of the trains in operation.

This video was originally shot by Jeff Johnston for personal enjoyment and to capture audio for future video projects. You may find it fun to watch, as well, and the Estep audio on the bonus feature may be real interesting for fans of early diesel-powered equipment.
